something really awesome happened today that pointed directly at God's divine plan for my life--even in this small little event. i will explain. about three months ago (before school was out) i had taken all the kids to the park. while we were there mason was sleeping in the car so i left the door open to the van. we played about 45 minutes and when we returned to the van to leave it would not start. it made a very funny noise and i thought something was seriously wrong. so we set out walking across town to our house--remember i have 2 semi-fast walking children, one two year old slow poke and one in a car seat. we live about 1 1/2 miles from the park so we were in for a long late afternoon walk. (about halfway a friend picked us up!!) when ben got home we went down to the van and he learned that the battery was dead apparently from leaving the door open. he charged the battery and we were on our way. that story brings me to this morning. ben is gone in louisiana and i needed to take mason to the dr. upon trying to start the van i heard that very funny noise and knew right away that the battery was dead and hooked up the charger and was on my way in less than 7 minutes. if our van wouldn't of died in the park three months ago i would have gone bonkers thinking something was really wrong. but no--God was far in front of me preparing me for this week of parenting/holding down the fort alone. isn't God amazing. i am praising him this day for taking care of my needs.

That is a wonderful story. I need to remember that when I'm having a bad day, I just might be being equipped to handle something important on another day.
