It has come to pass that a regular tradition for my sisters-in-law and I is to shop on Black Friday. This year stores opened earlier than I can ever recall...4am. We set our alarms for somewhere around 2:35 and headed out by 3:05am for Sioux City. We had a great time and we didn't wait in line for more than 45 minutes at any store to check out. We have a strategy...upon entering a store one of us gets in the check out line while the others shop. After each has taken her turn the wait is less than 20 minutes or so. It's kind of a sisterhood that early in the morning. It's very common for people to ask where you have been and are they out of a certain item or is the line extremely long. It's certainly not for everyone...but for us it is energizing. Pictured are the results of our labor. About 4 sacks were removed prior to the photos. We did our best to boost the economy.
