We had a performing arts group for Northwestern College in Orange City, IA visit our church last evening. It was awesome. They brought the Word to life. They did about 8 short performances of Old Testament scripture. Many were from Second Kings and they concluded with David and Goliath and Psalm 146. They had no costumes and minimal props. They also took prayer requests and acted them out --really difficult to explain but it was incredible to see them act exactly what we would say in a spoken prayer. It was mighty powerful. They acted out our request for safe surgery and a quick recovery for Mason. The group is touring all summer so if they are near you make every effort to see them.
Have a wonderful week - we will spend afternoons at our new pool in town. It is going to be hot, hot, hot.
