To be very honest it has been a challenging few days on the parenting front. We have had a few below average episodes with our childrens behavior and I flipped. I am not sure why but I tend to forget all the instances of our children's obedience and I consider myself a parenting failure. So I mull over what changes need to be made and we pray and pray and then the next day comes and we work through it minute by minute. This is when I realize my job IS a minute by minute task and I need to pray constantly and strive to be the best continuously. That being said, I was reading My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers this morning and I was struck by a few statements - "Patience is more like endurance." and this "Faith is the heroic effort of your life; YOU FLING YOURSELF IN RECKLESS CONFIDENCE ON GOD."

So that is what I have determined to do - FLING myself on God. Honestly, only he can help us weave our way through this task of parenting. And now - I feel blessed! So go fling yourself on Him- he is waiting.
